Some of you may not know his fondness for the Oldsmobile Toronado, but I do. I prefer the trimer and more angular generation before this one, but the final generation has this bit of kit.

Here’s the previous generation, also with the optional CRT. This is basically my first car, except mine was dark blue, and didn’t have the CRT. I did have the same sweet digital gauge cluster.

also a pox on those that put up adds for lease cars with the monthly rate as its sale price and auctionhouses that list everything as one grand and then just leave a link to the auctionsite

I found a great one in Ohio for my dad last summer. Fabulous condition. He didn’t bite though. I’m kinda sorry. I would have borrowed it.

My dad bought a new ‘88 when I was 6, then traded it in next year for a new ‘89 that has steering wheel controls for the radio/HVAC.

Wow, there is a lot to digest there. I certainly disagree with their thoughts on the styling. The earlier ones were so much cleaner in design. I never cared for the big ass on the later ones. Also, that cup holder they loved was 100% useless.
